Terms & Services
Late Fees
A late fee of $20 will be assessed if payments are not made by the closing day of every Monday unless it’s a holiday. If you are late picking your child up, you will be charged an additional $5 for every minute after 5pm. This will be strictly enforced. If you are late picking your child up 3 times without a reasonable explanation, we will no longer provide care.
Method of Payments
Parents pay for tuition via Square invoice. Invoices will be sent to you. In the event that 3 or more late payments, we will no longer provide care. Bank fees will apply.
ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES
All necessary forms must be completed and returned before we will assume the responsibility of caring for your child. All forms must be updated at least every year, sometimes sooner according to need. Please inform me immediately of any changes of phone numbers, addresses, or pick up information. A signed contract with you agreeing to the policies and understanding them will need to be signed before care also. If your child has a disability, please inform us in details upon registration because our center may or may not be a fit for your child’s needs at the time. Before Covid, we had resources to help us with children with disabilities but now they are limited.
Absences
If you plan to keep your child home due to illness, or any other reason, please notify us no later than your regular drop off time. We also expect to be notified if you anticipate being late in dropping off your child in the morning. Cut off time to drop off is 9:30 am unless you have a doctor’s excuse. There are several reasons for this! We have to know how many to prepare lunch for and if many are not here by 9:30 and we can combine classes according to age, we do! Also, that teacher may have already left for the day. Also, teachers have their students on a schedule and if all are napping and one comes in who isn’t, he/she may disturb others who are napping. Please know that this will be strictly enforced!
Appointments and early pick-ups
Please notify us when you drop your child off in the morning if you will be picking your child up early that day, or if your child has an appointment and will be leaving, and returning again later in the day. Please sign your child in/out DAILY!
Termination
Either the parent or provider has the right to terminate service for any reason. Some of the reasons that a family’s care can be terminated are as follows:
-
Constant Late pickup
-
Parents constantly bashing my business or anyone on my team
-
Constant late payments
-
Not adhering to policies
-
Not cooperating with staff by following the necessary steps for getting assistance for your child if he/she has developmental delays/behavior issues/sick (we will do our part)
-
Aggressive Behaviors ex. biting, destruction of property, constantly hitting adults, etc .. Because infants and toddlers are often unable to communicate verbally, they may bite, hit, kick one another to obtain objects, gain attention, express frustration, and sometimes just out of curiosity as they explore. Even though these behaviors are developmentally appropriate behavior and learning not to is a part of the socialization process, we will do everything in our power to prevent these behaviors. If a child is bitten, hit, kicked, etc, staff will treat the area and notify the parent of the child via accident report. The parents of the child who has done the biting will be notified via telephone. The name of the child who has bitten or who has been bitten will not be released and is kept confidential. This center reserves the right to dismiss your child if redirection and intervention does not correct the behavior after the third occurrence of any behavior that causes harm. If your child bites, hits, kicks, or throw things at an adult, you will be called to picked them up.
Withdraw
If our child care services are no longer needed, please let us know the week prior to withdrawing your child. For ex. If you wait until Monday to let us know your child is no longer coming, you will be responsible for paying for his/her spot for that week. A week’s notice will give me time to put another child in.
Holidays and Vacations
PlayStation will be closed on the following holidays. Please take into consideration that I have a great team who deserves to have off days during the week to take care of self and things. Please arrange for alternative care on those days. Reminders will be sent before closure dates well in advance.

Meals
PlayStation participates in the Child Care Food Program and provides breakfast, lunch and snacks. If your child has any food allergies, or other special dietary needs, please send a doctor’s note. Weekly menus are posted on the bulletin board. If you are breastfeeding your child, please let me know what accommodations I can make to help meet yours and your babies schedule and space needs.
Supplies
Parents are responsible for supplying diapers/pullups and wipes. Please be sure to send diapers/wipes/pullups every Monday.
Change of Clothing
Parents are responsible for maintaining a spare set of clothing in their child’s cubbies. Babies grow fast, please check frequently to make sure the spare set of clothing matches your child’s current size. Also, please make sure clothes are fit for the season.
Infant parents, please label and date bottles DAILY!
Parent Involvement
We have special events on occasions and will invite parents. It is not mandatory that you attend but we will let you know well in advance.
Immunizations
Complete Immunization records must be on file prior to your child’s first day of enrollment. It is not my responsible to keep up when they are due. Please try to schedule shots on a Friday because your child will have to be 24 hour shot free in order to return because of past reactions to shots.
RELEASE OF CHILD
-
Your child will only be released to the people you authorized
-
Children are to be signed in and out daily on the attendance sheet.
-
Authorized people not known to (PlayStation staff) will be required to show a State issued ID.
-
Children will be released to only custodial parents unless previous arrangements have been made.
-
Court documents detailing custody arrangements are to be provided or your child can still legally be released to other parent.
-
If an authorized person appears intoxicated or under the influence of drugs or alcohol an emergency contact will be called. The police will be notified if the person departs with the child.
Illness
If your child has any of the following illnesses or conditions, you must keep your child home:
-
Tested positive for Covid-19, flu, RSV
-
a temp of 99 degrees or higher
-
Vomiting (2 or more times in 24 hours)
-
Diarrhea (3 or more watery stools in 24 hours)
-
A rash or nits/headlice
-
Eye infection
-
Sore throat
-
runny nose for more than 2 days.
-
Any Communicable-Disease
if your child is running a fever within 24 hours of them coming to daycare,(the day or night before) please keep them home because they will more than likely not feel good while at daycare even if you give them meds for the fever to break. Also, if we call you to pick your child up because of a fever, it is mandatory that they are fever free for 24 hours before they can return to daycare.
-
If it’s clear your child is just not feeling good depending upon the illness, you may be required to obtain a doctor’s note before your child returns to care.
Medications
We will not administer medicine! Please give meds to your child before and after daycare.
Emergencies
Fire and Tornado drills are conducted monthly. In the event of fire or other emergency where we do have to evacuate, we will gather and wait for parents on the far side of the Hunter’s Insurance building. If predictions of a major disaster, we will call parents for child pick up!
Guidance Policy
To assist children in developing self-control, self-confidence, and sensitivity in their interactions with others, and to ensure order, prevent injury, and ensure a child’s activities are not infringing on the rights of others, the following strategies are used to guide the children’s’ behavior:
-
Focusing on the child’s behavior, rather than on the child;
-
Reinforcing appropriate behavior;
-
Observing children in order to anticipate potential difficulties.
-
Establishing eye contact and calling the child by name to gain a child’s attention;
-
Remaining near the child in situations where he/she may be losing self-control;
-
Modeling problem solving.
-
Offering choices.
-
Re-directing.
-
If all else fails, the child will be removed from the situation in a way that ensures that the 'time out' is a positive learning experience:
-
Prior to the use of ‘time out’ the child will be given an explanation of what it means and what it involves.
-
The ‘time out’ place will be located within the play area, where they can still be supervised, but far enough from the activity.
-
The child will be allowed to determine when he/she can return to the activity.
-
For pre-school age children, the ‘time out’ period will be no more than one minute per year of age, to a maximum of five (5) minutes.
-
Appropriate or acceptable behavior of the child following ‘time out’ will receive praise.
-
-
If a child loses control and could possibly injure him or herself or others, the child will be held and helped to sooth themselves until self-control is gained.
I do not practice, or allow the following behaviors:
-
Corporal punishment such as shoving, hitting, shaking, spanking
-
Harsh, belittling, or degrading treatment
-
Confinement, unsupervised separation from others, physical restraint as punishment
-
Depriving children of meals, snacks, rest or necessary use of the toilet as punishment
-
If at anytime your child hits an adult, you will be called to come and pick them up.
-
If any aggressive behavior is ongoing even after documented, parent called, and positive reinforcements/redirection, you will be called to pick your child up.
-
POTTY TRAINING
We are willing to assist a child with potty training as long as you are actively doing so at home. Potty training must first begin at home. Only once your child has shown enough readiness and willingness, we will begin the training at daycare as well. There will be a $25 fee for kids who are 3 years old and not potty trained but some restrictions may apply.
TOYS, FOOD, AND PERSONAL ARTICLES FROM HOME
No toys should be brought from home. They create problems with sharing and well as broken hearts when that toy gets lost or broken. Small toys also create a hazard to our smaller children. We also feed your child so please do not allow them to bring food in.
